Exploring Discipleship

A three-week intensive exploring the spiritual step of discipleship. At the end of this course, those who wish to proceed are eligible for discipleship and initiation into the 3rd technique on the path of Kriya Yoga, the Aum Technique.

  Home Altars for Kids - Touchable - Fun - Sacred
For Adults Only (this is to learn how to create child and family friendly altars)

Home altars are traditional in many religions and cultures around the world. Today, altars are regaining recognition as a focal point to help balance busy lives with the inner spiritual connection. Creating  and using an altar can be a playful, joyful and inspiring practice for the whole family and need not be off limits to little hands.

This class will explore how to get started, how to make an altar child-friendly, and how to tap into your child's spiritual nature. We will also discuss simple meditation techniques, using prayer beads, and ways to help establish life-long spiritual connections that your child can always draw on.

  Superconscious Living

We are all familiar with the conscious mind and its list of things to accomplish; and the subconscious mind with its habits and predispositions that keep us bound. The superconscious mind is fresh and joyful, intuitive and insightful, and is the doorway to everything we seek. Each of us has at one time or another touched that part of ourselves and felt the freedom, power, and clarity that come. Learning how to live in that state is a simple matter of understanding and practice.

This class series will provide you with the ability to understand and identify the superconscious mind. You will have the chance to exercise practices that help you access that state of mind at will. Enjoy the discovery of your own higher nature and how to live more in that dynamic state. Find ways in which your outer life can support and enhance your meditation practice. Discover how to live beyond your current seeming limitations.

These principles are from Yogananda's teachings, and have been applied by Swami Kriyananda and Ananda members, and are keys to Ananda's success.
